My time is spent two ways:

1) Writing direct response advertising campaigns to promote my own products.

2) Consulting with and write marketing campaigns for a few “select” clients who have top notch products and services, and who can afford my fees.

But here’s the thing:

With few exceptions, my clients want me to give them “the magic bullet” marketing strategy they can use to send a boatload of frothing folks through their doors, who are ready and willing to fork-over money to buy whatever it is my client wants to sell.

And do you want to know what I tell my clients in every case?

This is a bunch of bunk.

Try as you might, there is no such thing as a marketing magic bullet, no matter how many marketing “gurus” tell you there is such a thing.

On a side note, here’s a little secret about marketing gurus: 99.9% of them have never done what they tell you to do. In other words, they know “what” to do because they read it in a book somewhere. But they don’t know “how” to do it because they’ve never done it. Why is this important for you to know? So you stop searching like a hungry hound dog for a marketing magic bullet, and instead focus your time, energy and money on proven strategies that work.

Let me give you an example:

If you held a gun to my head and forced me to tell you the best (and proven) marketing strategy you could use to add new customers (and more sales) to your small business fast, then here’s what I’d tell you to do:

Market to your own customers.

No joke.

There are a million reasons why this is the best thing you could do.

And there are a million-in-one ways to do this.

And what’s more, you don’t have to be a brilliant marketer… or a smoking-hot copywriter… or even have much marketing sense at all for this strategy work.

All you need to know is that it does work.

And that it’s up to you to do something to make it work.

What’s sad is that 90% of folks who read this article will not do a darn thing with what I’ve just suggested. They’ll keep hunting and praying that marketing “magic bullet” falls into their lap. Make sure you are not in this 90%. Get out there and start doing stuff for you current customers so they come more often… spend more… and refer their friends.

That, my friend, is the most amazing marketing secret you’ll ever find.

And it’s something I did for years to make my own brick-and-mortars business world famous and very profitable.

And one last thing:

If you are serious about growing your business, then more than likely all you need is a few more good ideas like the one in this article.

So ask yourself this:

Where can you turn for more good ideas like what you just read in this article?

In my humble opinion, you have to be careful where you look for good ideas because just about everybody and their brother claims to be a so-called ‘business expert’.

Remember:

Saying is one thing.

Doing is another.

And most of these “talking heads” have never run their own successful small business.
