No matter where we live in the world, we cannot trust the mainstream medical profession to safeguard our health. This is, in large part, because it is so heavily influenced by the giant, wealthy pharmaceutical companies. The pharmaceutical industry (also known as Big Pharma) has contributed so much money to the medical colleges and universities for so long that the only things that doctors have been and continue to be taught are which drugs to prescribe to patients to perpetually treat the symptoms of their diseases. Big Pharma is quite content for patients to have to continually and repeatedly treat the symptoms of their diseases rather than searching for actual cures for them. This continuous repeat business for Big Pharma translates into tremendous profits for it.
There are other highly profitable, medically-related interests which also influence how health care is provided to individuals. These include those who perform medical research, surgeries, chemotherapies, radiation treatments, diagnostics, nursing, physical therapy, hospice, etc. Each of these groups is much more interested in generating huge profits for itself than it is in cures for diseases being discovered. It would so detrimental to the best interests of each of these groups if cures for diseases were actually discovered that there would be no need for most of their services any longer. Just think about how much profit is generated each year for all of these modalities combined. The amount is astronomical!
Big Medicine Now Controls All Physiological Research
In addition to Big Pharma dictating to medical schools how modern medicine should be practiced in return for the huge contributions it makes to them, another one of the ways in which these wealthy medical cabals have been able to gain so much control over the medical industry is through the following. Physiology is the study of how living things function, how external forces influence that functioning, and the effects of those external forces. It is also the search for the causes of diseases and ailments so that cures can be found for them.
For many decades, many colleges and universities had physiology departments. However in the 1960’s, many schools were suffering tough economic times. Therefore, many of them closed their physiology departments in order to save money. The only colleges and universities that kept their physiology departments open were the medical schools. However as stated earlier, because the pharmaceutical industry contributes so much money to the medical schools each year, it is able to dictate the areas into which the physiology departments can and cannot endeavor. Not surprisingly, the major emphasis is on finding or developing drugs to repeatedly treat disease symptoms rather than searching for disease cures.
The Field of Cancer Research Is Another Colossal Waste of Resources
Another colossal waste of time, money, and energy has been the way in which cancer research has been conducted for many decades. This includes the practice of searching for a single carcinogen hoped to be responsible for causing cancer. In the 1940’s a number of cancer researchers (including the widely-respected Jesse Greenstein) warned against conducting research in this manner because the search would be endless and useless.[1] It certainly did lead to an explosion of research data, but none of it really relevant.
Over the years the International Agency for Research on Cancer’s (I.A.R.C.) Working Group on the Evaluation of the Carcinogenic Risk of Chemicals to Man has documented over 10,000 carcinogens or possible carcinogens. Yet none of these has been determined to be the hoped-for single cause of cancer. Unfortunately, the efforts of cancer researchers has been restricted to the useless practice of searching for only single causes of cancer because the only technologies available to them are too time-consuming and too expensive to allow for research into the widely-accepted belief that cancer is caused by a combination of factors. Furthermore, conventional studies to determine whether or not research results are accurate take many years to complete themselves.
Another example of misguided cancer research is the decades-old practice of cancer researchers attempting to discover the cause of cancer by implanting tumors into the bodies of laboratory animals and studying the effects. More misguided research has been via the practice of the discreet culturing of microscopic pathogens in sterile media in an attempt to study them.
These courses of action represent exercises in futility because they are not the ways in which humans develop cancer. Nonetheless, many individuals and groups expend untold amounts of time and effort each year to raise millions of dollars to fund efforts to try to find a cure for cancer. Unfortunately, this money is then wasted on non-productive cancer research.
Another Dead-End Street
There is also another dead-end street down which medical research has gone in recent years. That is following the mistaken belief that many of our diseases are caused by our genes evolving defectively and that individuals harboring those genes need to have them replaced.
Many of our genetic diseases such as Duchenne muscular dystrophy, cystic fibrosis, Down syndrome, polycystic kidney disease etc. provide evidence that some of the genes of the individuals suffering from those diseases have mutated. Those who wish to profit from researching how to effectively replace those defective genes and those actually doing so heavily promote these endeavors. However those individuals and groups ignore the fact that there are many external factors in our environment which can cause genes to mutate. These factors include many toxic chemicals (as well as radioactive elements) which can enter our bodies, toxins produced by parasites and other pathogens which may have entered our bodies, etc. These external factors which cause genes to mutate are called mutagens.
Our genes have been evolving over millions of years. Evolution produces more highly advanced organisms, not defective ones. To believe that our genes have recently begun abnormally mutating on their own without being influenced by external factors is pure folly. Only those wishing to profit from these misguided endeavors would be promoting them.
The Immoral Practice of Keeping Cures and Effective Treatments Secret
As an aside, there was another problem with earlier medical practitioners not doing their utmost to help people remain or become healthy. That was their immoral practice of keeping medical cures and effective medical treatments to themselves or available to only other practitioners in order to be able to solely profit from them. This course of action was practiced by witch doctors, shamans, medicine men, etc. and, later on, by doctors.
The following is an example of how this immoral practice transpired. For untold centuries, many individuals, especially seafarers and explorers, died needlessly from a disease called scurvy. Today we know that scurvy is simply a vitamin C deficiency. However, it took a long time after this fact was discovered for it to become commonly known.
In a journal written in 1535, Jacques Cartier (a Frenchman exploring Canada at the time) wrote that he had lost 25 of his best men to the dreaded disease, that another 40 were at the point of death, and that the remainder (except for two or three of them) were all gravely ill. Then a couple of friendly Iroquois Indian women made a potion for the men by boiling some tree branches in water. The women then instructed the men to drink it every other day. After drinking the potion only two or three times, all of the ill men’s scurvy was cured and their health was restored!
Over the next few centuries, the fact that scurvy was simply a vitamin C deficiency was published in medical journals many times.[2] However, it did not become commonly known to the public during that time. It was not until the early 1900’s that it became common knowledge. However, it was not the medical profession that brought the cure for scurvy to the public’s attention. It was the orange juice industry which did it in order to sell more orange juice!
The medical profession had kept the cure a closely guarded secret for almost 400 years so that it could benefit from it. Only those scurvy sufferers wealthy enough to be able to see a doctor who was aware of the cure or lucky enough to ingest some vitamin C on their own were cured. Everyone else suffered and died. Just imagine how many individuals must have died needlessly during that 400-year time period because the medical profession only revealed the cure to those from whom it could profit.
We Cannot Trust the Medical Profession with Our Health
Today the medical profession does not keep medical cures and effective medical treatments secret. Instead it engages in the much more heinous practice of diverting emphasis and resources away from searching for cures for diseases and only searching for or inventing drugs that can perpetually treat the symptoms of diseases. It also only steers patients toward modalities which are highly profitable for it. These and the other foregoing reasons are why we cannot trust the medical profession to safeguard our health. Anyone wishing to remain or become healthy must investigate for themselves alternatives to the mainstream medical profession.
There Are Only Two Causes for Most Diseases and Ailments
According to independent alternative medical research, there are only two causes for most diseases and ailments:
1. The increased amount of toxins that have entered our bodies and compromised our immune systems via the air that we breathe, the water that we drink, the food that we eat and the body products, cleaners, building products, etc. that we use. These toxins include radioactive elements.
Our immune systems are mostly compromised of our white blood cells (WBCs). Unfortunately, our WBC counts have been steadily declining due to the increased number of toxins in our environment for decades. But rather than informing us about this important fact, the medical profession and the government agencies responsible for looking out for our best interests have remained silent. In fact, laboratories that analyze our blood have steadily lowered the acceptable WBC count ranges in order to compensate for these declines. This represents another failure of the medical profession to look out for our best health interests. Again, this is because it is heavily influenced by the big pharmaceutical companies and the other highly-profitable, medically-related groups.
2. The lowered effectiveness of our immune systems allows foreign entities such as parasites, bacteria, viruses, etc. to invade our bodies and take up residence there. These foreign entities contribute even more to our ailments and diseases by disrupting our metabolic processes. Many of these invaders and their developmental stage do so by producing toxic chemicals of their own. This, in turn, lowers our immunity even further.
