There are so many reasons why people fail at Network Marketing it would take me days to list them all. But let’s break down the two most popular reasons.
Not making any/enough money:
This is most likely the most popular reason given. Many times when someone starts a Network Marketing Company they think they are going to to be rolling in residual checks after their first month. They plug into their companies national calls, they attend training classes every week, they are in constant contact with their upline, they are following their respected company systems to a “T”, but yet they don’t experience the results they were looking for immediately. The excitement and motivation they had when they first started them begins to wane and they find themselves getting frustrated and defeated.
Anyone that chooses to start their own Network Marketing business has to understand that things take time. ALOT of time in most cases. If someone is looking to make it big right away, this is not the business for you. You have to go in with the mindset that this is going to take time. From what I have read and from reading and listening to others that have had success in the industry, it takes 2-3 years to get yourself in a position to making a good income. Now some people might think that is crazy and not worth it but I can speak from personal experience from my “traditional business”, that that is about average for any business. If you are looking for a get rich quick system, don’t get involved in the industry because you are going to be wasting your investment.
Not putting enough time into their business
You get out what you put in. Network Marketing is a business and just like any other business time needs to be put into it everyday. At minimum I recommend 2-3 hours a day. Whether it’s training a new marketer, talking to potential customers and marketers, marketing your business or doing your due diligence to learn the newest trends and marketing techniques. Some sort of action needs to take place every day for you to build your business. The nice thing about our industry is that it can be done whenever you would like. It can be done in the morning, at night after you put the kids to bed, it can be broken up into pieces throughout the day. The easiest thing to do is to pick a time or times throughout your day, and dedicate that time to your business, the more time the better, but make sure you have a strict schedule and keep to that schedule and those time slots. There is a saying, “Network marketing can be operated on a full time basis, a part time basis, but it is not a hobby”. If you treat it like a hobby you will not do well in this industry. It’s all about repetition, keep doing your steps over and over everyday and you will see your business grow.
If you are looking into the Network Marketing Industry and you understand these two concepts, my advice to you is give it a go. You are already ahead of the curve than most marketers already. Just make sure it is a company, product and above all a team that you can get excited about. Most people blame their failure on the business model, when in fact it is the same model as any other business, they just didn’t understand what it takes to be successful.
