There will be times in your business career that you have to choose between having a perfect presentation with your marketing and giving your promotion the time to get traction.
So how do you know when to choose between having something perfect and getting it to the market?
Well most of the time I am going to tell you to lean towards taking action. Because the majority of opportunities that the majority of business people loose out on is for one simple reason.
They didn’t complete the actions in full system that got them a new customer.
They might have started to attend business networking meeting but never really reach out to someone.
They might have followed up with past customers once with a postcard but never again.
They might have created a website but never took the time to get it in front of their target market.
Something to consider is that a perfect promotion that only a few people see is usually much worse than a promotion that has a misspelling in the copy.
I’m not saying be sloppy, what I am saying is shift your thinking from “what if I fail” to “what must I do to get a result I want.” The sooner you are able to do that the sooner your results will start moving in the direction you want.
Want Better Results from Your Marketing?
Do more of it, get it in front of more people. Play the marketing game over a long enough period of time to get some feedback to so you can adjust and make even more profitable decisions. Remember home runs happen after swinging at a ball enough times to perfect your craft. And if you are in business the most important craft you can master is the process of getting more customer, then turning those customers into loyal fans by treating them the way they deserve to be treated.
A couple questions to ask yourself as you move forward and focus on the results you can get over the next six to twelve months by taking on a new marketing mindset.
What are you doing right now to get customers that is working well?
What can you test for improvements? Think in steps and progress. If you are already investing in some kind of marketing then the best thing you can do is test a few different ways to increase the ROI of that marketing investment. Do you know someone, have a team member, or coach that can help you think this through?
If you are able to increase your return by 30% or more then you probably have enough to start another marketing strategy.
If your not doing any kind of marketing, what can you do or have thought about doing to get more business?
When are you committed to starting that marketing process?
How will you know if it is successful?
Do you have access to someone that understands this kind of marketing and can help you?
