The reason for this is because the person will often need time to think about the offer. They may need to ask their spouse, or they may need to look at their budget to determine if they can afford the purchase. There are also times in which they may simply not be interested. This is how they begin contacting the prospect and informing them of the value of their product.

This is the exact same thing that happens in the online world. When people first come to your website, they don’t know you from Adam. They don’t know if you’re legitimate. They may not even be sure that they can afford your product. This is why you must first get to know them, and show them the benefits of purchasing your product. To do this, you will need to get their contact information. However, people won’t just give you this information for free. You must offer them something in return. The one simple thing that most be value today is information, especially information that is related to something they’re actually interested in. Once you have their email address, you can contact them periodically, educating them and reminding them of why your product is the best. Many of these people will eventually become loyal clients. This is basic internet marketing: offer a freebie to get the emails, and then keep in touch with the client, being nice and giving them great incentives to use their service.
