7. Sports Games
Seddon Park and Waikato Stadium are always showing rugby and cricket games for sports fans. Don’t miss seeing New Zealand sportsmen at their best, and join in the great atmosphere during a big game.
8. Culture
Hamilton is home to a busy art and culture scene, with plenty of exhibitions, performances and shows on throughout the year. Don’t miss seeing the Waitakaruru Arboretum and The Sculpture Park.
9. The Waikato River
Hamilton is home to the beautiful Waikato River. You can experience the scenery on a cruise on the Te Awa Kuini (The River Queen) from Cruise Waikato.
10. Claudelands Event Centre
Claudelands Event Centre is a new attraction in Hamilton, and will be hosting many exciting events throughout the year. The Event Centre is the third largest conference venue and the second largest exhibition centre in New Zealand, and there’s always something going on!
